How would the US Marines react to the Zombie Apocalypse? This is a sneak peak at the mayhem that would unfold when a battalion of Marines are sent towards San Diego to confront the undead hordes on Z-Day. "Into the Breach" is a prequel novella in the Sovereign Spirit Saga (which began with "Voyage of the Dead"). It is also part of the "Interludes In Hell" anthology. This release is intended to draw attention to the series and is great to borrow with KU, or Prime, or grab as a freebie when available.
"The Sovereign Spirit Saga takes the zombie apocalypse in a disturbing new direction. David P. Forsyth brings a fresh, exciting voice to the genre and keeps the thrills coming hard and fast." - Jonathan Maberry, New York Times bestselling author of ROT AND RUIN, FALL OF NIGHT and CODE ZERO
“…Without a doubt one of the better Zombie books…" -- Anthony Wessel, reviewer at The Book Review and founder of DigitalBookToday.com
"What a truly entertaining read. I started reading on Friday morning and couldn't put the book down until I finished. Not just your everyday, run-of-the-mill, ho-hum story of the apocalypse." -- Paul Jones, Bestselling author of "Extinction Point" and "Towards Yesterday"

What do you do when the zombies start appearing? Call in the Marines, of course. This is another great prequel to the 'Sovereign Spirit Saga' (for another prequel, see 'Lukan')!The dedication, the determination, and the firepower of the force under the command of Major David Connor is incredible. This story contains detailed descriptions of equipment and the thought processes of an amazing fighting team. Extremely well written and ends with the tease that pushes the reader to start the 'Sovereign' series immediately. Loved it!

Into the Breach Sovereign Spirit Saga Prequel eBook David Forsyth Reviews
This book is awesome! Totally cool take on the zombie apocalypse!!!!!
This was an enjoyable prequel to the Sovereign Spirit Saga. Lived it!
Short but great!!
I want to get this out of the way right now, I did not like this author's other works of the "Soveriegn Spirit" saga, I felt it was completely ridiculous and it felt like it was written by a 10 year old.
But this? This book was very good and I couldn't put it down! The character of Major Connors wasn't really a very devleoped character but he was likeable and we could identify with him. He wants to keep his family safe and he wants to do his duty. And let's face it, many of us would be a little uncomfortable if we were suddenly thrust into a leadership position that is like 2 or 3 levels above what we are used to.
Connors is able to keep himself together and lead his men to the island where they are trying to get to. He is upset that he can't rescue every person he sees along the way that needs help, but he has his orders and he has to carry them out. This is another thing that makes him likeable and makes us root for him. However he is really the only character we have any connection with other than the Admiral we meet like 5 pages before the end.
I've said this about other books but it's also true here, the story doesn't end, it just kind of stops, and that's a little disappointing.
If you like zombies and stories about a military response to the zombie apocalypse then you will love this book. Check it out!
I love the Soveriegn Spirit Saga and love the extra stories that make up the surrounds of the series. I had a little trouble with all the military terminalogy but I still enoyed the story a lot.
It’s a great side story to the main storyline, and I’d like to see more - I’ve read all the other books in the series.
Really enjoyed this. I don't normally read Zombie books but this was excellent post apocalyptic book that actually had me wanting more. I wasn't ready for it to end so will be ordering the next two in the series.
